Preparation of the Second National Report for the Convention to Combat Desertification

Nextera’s Lead Consultant, Allan Herrera was selected as the National Consultant to prepare Belize’s National Report to the Convention to Combat Desertification. During this study he conducted an assessment of land use issues, legislation and policies contributing to land degradation in the country. Central to the report was the development of measures to arrest and reverse the trend towards degradation.
