EIA for Blackadore Caye Residential and Tourism Development.

This EIA focused on reducing impacts of a proposed private tourism development on the native flora and fauna of Blackadore Caye. The team assisted the developer in designing a hybrid wind/solar system to provide energy for the site, while a rainwater catchment system supplemented by recycled water from water treatment plant would provide for the water needs of the entire site.  Blackadore Caye is a large island to the west of Ambergris Caye which offers many attractions for tourism development.  The project proponents envision a low impact sustainable tourism development with renewable energy at its core.
